Cultural Resources Commission - established by the District of Mission in 2008 to provide the expertise of a diverse group of people to make recommendations that will shape the infrastructure and support base for regional cultural activities, services and organizations. Their recommendations will sustain and enhance the arts, multiculturalism, and heritage throughout the District. |
Mission Community Heritage Commission - established by Mission Council in 2006. The Commission provides the expertise to connect organizations, individuals and heritage initiatives. The Commission's role is to educate, build awareness and undertake public consultation to increase understanding of local history and to influence decisions for a sustainable future that respects heritage values. |
Mission Heritage Association - The mission is to develop, enhance and promote the Fraser River Heritage Park, its history, culture and natural beauty. The Park hosts numerous celebrations each year including the annual Easter Egg Hunt, Old Car Sunday, the Mission Folk Festival, the Pilgrimage to our Lady of Lourdes and Celebration of Community. |
